A-Haunted Eternal - Carry Me On
Haunted Eternal - Carry Me On
Like a rag doll hoisted by invisible line, I rise. My body limp I can not look away from the depths of the sky. My long black cape obeying gravity, exposing my flesh to the night. The pains that bound me release and slowly I am descending down again, meeting the steed that waits for me. It's back bare and my seat. My naked thighs straddle and squeeze the warmth beneath me, and away.
My haunting takes chase and stays close, leading me from behind I guess. My steed stomps through the streets to the city edge with me fast to his back, never slowing not even for the woods. Thrashing, plunging, branches and briers catching my hair, scratching my flesh open. I rest forward into his charge, feeling the steed's heart beat rapid, and smelling our blood until he halts. Mine moves with his breathing, exhaling a smoky fog. I reach my hand to touch the mist, nothing.
In another mist up ahead, a cavern of stone, with a waterfall flowing over. A small creek carries the water to another place, but that place is not my concern as my eye finds the coffin open and waiting, lined in black satin and the outside casing hand carved wood also stained black adorned with silver handles and dragons. I slide down from the black horse to get a closer look.
I let the velvet fall away from me completely and the water flows over my body as I step into the gentle falling cascade lake. Not another sound but the steed's breath behind me. I turn to look at him in question and he gives a snort almost nodding his head for me to continue. My scratches disappearing, sadly losing the scent and then her scent fills me. I close my eyes and inhale, she is before me, my sister, my soul an entity not a dream.
My sweet sister takes my hand and kisses my finger tips. I watch her wings flutter gently behind her. The tail is not hidden as it swishes from side to side. In all other ways she looks human, but maybe for her exaggerated features, and I am reminded of her ears as I brush her hair away from her face, a bit more pointy then most, but still very beautiful and inviting. She draws close to me, holding her pulsating wrist to my cheek, an offering with her eyes. My lips first thank her flesh and my fangs following sinking slowing, deeply. She calls me back 'sister, enough' and the wound is healed with my kiss. Her body very warm to my cold one.
A closer inspection of the waiting bed shows silver dragons. There are five of them in total, one at each point front, back and each side. The last is on top of the casket, like a mantel piece, very large and heavy looking with an emerald eye. The beautiful human sized box is hidden inside this cavern with my half human sister's protection, and a water fall, deep in the thick woods.
A beckoning for me to climb inside, I do. She stays close by as I watch the lid lower itself down. I smile.
